22ac9c68b1 Rewrote processing pipeline including bad-image detection with multiple overlapping methods (header + disc based detection seems best for now).

45a6307c6c Added pytest test suite, rewrote README, and added NOTES.md to hold things that don't belong in the README. Some of the noise analysis code is WIP.
